**IMPORTANT NOTE ON EARLY START: Due to the Twilight Half Marathon being held in the evening, we must close our course at 9:00 SHARP for the safety of all participants. ANY PARTICIPANT (RUNNER OR WALKER) WHO WILL BE TRAVELING SLOWER THAN 14 MINUTES PER MILE (4.2 MILES/HOUR) MUST UTILIZE OUR EARLY START TIME OF 5:20PM. You will receive an official finisher time and all race benefits. IF YOU START AT THE NORMAL START TIME OF 6:00PM AND FAIL TO MAINTAIN A 14 MINUTE/MILE PACE, YOU FACE THE POSSIBILITY THAT AID STATIONS MIGHT NOT BE OPEN, THE CHANCE OF BEING PULLED FROM THE COURSE, OR NOT BEING ALLOWED TO COMPLETE THE ENTIRE 13.1-MILE COURSE. Head-lamps or hand-held flashlights, reflective vests, and flashing red safety lights are strongly recommended for participants who anticipate being on the course near the 9:00pm course closure time.

Our Beneficiary - The Children's Cancer Association
For children diagnosed with serious illness and their families, every moment is precious. At CCA, our goal is to transform as many of those moments as possible – with joy. The Children’s Cancer Association didn’t start with a foundation, it started with a family. One who faced its own battle with serious pediatric illnesses almost two decades ago in Portland, Oregon. From that experience came a passionate commitment and focus: To deliver the healing power of music, friendship, play and resources to families facing the same challenges. Unlike many organizations dedicated to the worthy goal of someday finding a cure for cancer, CCA is all about creating joy today.
